Despite the fact that the Boston Red Sox seem to be dropping like flies for the second straight year, they remain just one half game behind the hated Yankees for first place in the American League East. They are set to begin a four game stretch at home against the Baltimore Orioles before hitting the All-Star Break. The Red Sox recently lost staff ace Jon Lester to a strained lat muscle on Tuesday night while he was fielding his position. Lester has been placed on the disabled list, and presumably will be back a few weeks after the break. [click to continue…]

I was thinking about summer again today while taking a quiet break from my duties here at Infiniti of Norwood and reminiscing what it was like being a kid after school let out. We would do all the things kids do, riding bikes, going to the beach, visiting a neighbor’s pool now and again.
I was raised a military brat and our one or two week family vacations were always interesting because I lived most of my childhood overseas, we went to some pretty amazing places. Then it occurred to me that my summers were structured as well. From being a member of the library “Book of the week Club”, or scouting events, even time spent at summer camp, we continued to learn throughout the summer even though we weren’t in a classroom.
I decided to take a moment to look on line and was pleasantly surprised by all the activities that are available in Norwood. I read a wonderful blog about Norwood’s public library, and yes they have a book club. I visited Norwood boys and girls scouting website’s, took a glimpse at all the activities associated with Norwood’s recreation department whether it was basketball, field hockey, soccer, they had it all. I even noticed that Norwood has a kid’s day camp dedicated to teaching dance. I know that all of these summer activities helped me as a kid stay active, discover new interests, learn rather than “brain drain”, and forge new relationships. The more things change the more they really do stay the same.
With all these activities available to our Norwood residents, everyone should check them out!

Coming off their 2011 Stanley Cup win, the Boston Bruins are in excellent shape heading into the off-season. Unlike the 2010 Stanley Cup
Free Agent Defenseman James Wisniewski
Champion Chicago Blackhawks, who had to tradeoff much of their team to stay under the salary cap, the Bruins are in a good position to make some minor upgrades while keeping their young core intact. Let’s take a look at exactly where the Bruins stand as free agency hits this Friday, July1. [click to continue…]

Well summer officially began yesterday June 21st at 1:16pm. My son finished his junior year of High School at noon time yesterday, and then kicked off his summer hiatus with a visit to Fenway Park last evening only to watch the Red Sox lose to the Padres 5-4.
Meantime, as I was following up on my daily responsibilities here at Infiniti of Norwood, my mind had a tendency to drift occasionally to thinking about the beach, barbeques, maybe a weekend get away to the cape. It really is the best time of the year I think. Even during the work week there is still enough daylight hours in the evening when I get home to sit and relax outside enjoying what summer nature has to offer.
Here at Infiniti of Norwood, we occasionally break out the barbeque pit during the day and serve up some, dogs, burgers, perhaps some steak tips, and the side dishes that accompany it, potato salad, green salad, macaroni salad, you get the idea. It surely beats our amazing snack bar in the service lounge.
I played my first round of golf on Sunday, Father’s day, with my son at Norwood Country Club, located at 400 Providence Highway just up the road from Infiniti of Norwood. As I am thinking of summer fun, I noticed the Town of Norwood officially opens its pool season June 25th. This is a classic summer activity for kids and adults alike to cool off on those hot, sticky days. One of my favorite summer activities is the summer concerts on the common in the center of Norwood which begins June 26th. I break out my lawn chair and trek into town for a couple hours of great music while enjoying a cool summers evening breeze. Summer is also a time for parades and no one can resist a parade, I know I can’t. I am excited and eagerly waiting for Norwood’s July 4th parade which runs through town and is always a great take.
When I come across one of those not so nice summer days, whether it’s overcast, raining, or just god awful humidity, all I have to do is think about this past winter and the nearly 74 inches of snow we received and I say to myself it’s better than having to go out and clean snow off the cars!

With the Boston Bruins victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, the city of Boston has enjoyed a lengthy run of
sports dominance. Since the 2001 season, the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and now the Bruins have combined for a seven championships in the span of a decade. This “Four Sport Grand Slam” is a remarkable accomplishment which has to be put into perspective and compared with other cities in the four-sport landscape. [click to continue…]

As I begin my second month here at Infiniti of Norwood I thought it was time for me to post my first blog and introduce myself to the community as the new Business Development Representative. My name is Richard Fafard. I am not a stranger to Norwood having first lived here from 1990 to 1994 when I moved to Franklin. I returned to Norwood about two years ago and for me it was the right decision at the right time. [click to continue…]

The gods of sport are not to be messed with. This credo is one that you would figure is alive and well given the Dallas Mavericks triumph over
A very hungry Alexandre Burrows
the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. It would reveal that karma and justice have prevailed, as there has been no more reviled team in recent memory than the whining, pandering Miami Heat, a team that only a Nike marketing executive could look upon with loving eyes. With the above being stated, if the Vancouver Canucks win Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight in Boston, it will ultimately prove that if there is any sort of heavenly being who oversees the rights and wrongs of the sports universe, then he is truly dead.

The Infiniti G25 has become a much welcomed addition to our lineup! Specifically modeled for lovers of the G37 who don’t need all the frills, but enjoy the simple amenities of the G such as leather seats and sunroof, the G25 has been a great success here at Infiniti of Norwood!
2011 Infiniti G25 Sedan
The new entry-level sedan is extremely cost-effective, as it averages 20 city/29 highway miles per gallon, and is priced lower than its primary competitors, the Lexus IS250, and the BMW 3-Series. As gas prices have skyrocketed in the last month in Massachusetts, the G25 has become a very economical option for all luxury drivers. [click to continue…]

The young defense of the New England Patriots, which had been seen as a giant question mark as the season began, has finally stared to gel as they have held their last two opponents, the New York Jets, and the Chicago Bears to 3 and 7
Patriots CB Devin McCourty
points respectively. The unit had been unfairly labeled as soft against the pass up until hat last couple of games, but one has to keep in mind that the offense has given the defense such monumental leads that the opponent has been forced to pass almost constantly, and the garbage yards and points are most certainly that, with the two exceptions being the first Jets game, and the debacle that was the game against the Cleveland Browns.
They are being led by stand out rookie cornerback Devin McCourty, who has 6 interceptions on the season, the most by a Pats rookie corner since Mike Haynes’ 8 back in 1976. McCourty would be the odds on favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year if it wasn’t for Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and his 8 sacks. McCourty has brought a physical presence to the position that hasn’t been seen in New England since the days of some guy named Ty Law. [click to continue…]

The all-new 2011 Infiniti G25x Sedan has become a hit with smart consumers as well as avid car enthusiasts. Infiniti of Norwood is the place to find the best selection and variety of the Infiniti G25! But how does the G25x stack up
2011 Infiniti G25x Sedan
against the competition?
When compared with the 2011 Lexus IS250, the Infiniti G25x is not only more powerful, but much more cost effective as well. The IS250 AWD starts out at $35,775 before destination and features just 204 horsepower. In contrast, the Infiniti G25x AWD checks in at $33,950 before destination and a dynamic 218 horsepower. In this regard there is certainly more bang for your buck, and in this economy who doesn’t want that? The G25x is also much roomier [click to continue…]
