Infiniti is gearing up for the new 2011 G25, 2011 G37, 2011 FX35, 2011 FX50, and the 2011 EX35, but meanwhile the market demand is greater than the available inventory. With all of these new vehicles on the way it seems people are very excited, but with this excitement on the 2011′s comes a shortage of trade-ins from customers. So, with more people waiting anxiously for the 2011′s to enter our showroom, we are seeing a shortage of used Infiniti’s across the country! I have included this cartoon on the right for dramatic affect and yes it has nothing to do with cars, but you get the idea. With their being a lack of used Infiniti’s, we are seeing people stretch their dollars further into 2010 Infiniti products, which is directly contributed to the phenomenal savings and incentives currently available. As you are probably putting together right now while reading this, we are now looking at a shortage in new Infiniti’s. As New England’s #1 Infiniti Dealership, we pride ourselves on having one of the largest if not the largest selections at all times! Still having a very wide selection, we too are feeling the pressure of trying to supply vehicles that are just simply not out there right now.

With our various resources and auctions we attend nationally we have been able to maintain our signature status of being #1, but it comes with many days of searching, and a higher price on each vehicle purchased. Dealers across the country seem to have been raising their prices and discounting very little to ensure they are selling their vehicles for a higher gross since there is not an overabundance of vehicles to replenish the stock with. Maximizing profit is key right now for dealerships and luckily, Infiniti of Norwood has been able to offer some of the most aggressive pricing on the market currently due to the fact that we always over stock to offer the best selection. During difficult times we are very excited to have these extra vehicles, as I am sure you can imagine. So, if you can’t find an FX50 or the right EX35, know that it’s not you, it’s the current market. Anyone who is looking for a vehicle we encourage you to give us a call and we will search high and low for it. It may take some time, but we will work to find it, and not only find it, but at a still, very aggressive price. If you have a current Infiniti and want to get into a new 2010, this is the BEST time to trade them in, as we are offering top dollar for yours today! Our Internet Sales Department can be reached at 877-776-7494 and we look forward to working for you, through tough times and the best of times! You will rest easy when the #1 Infiniti Dealer in New England treats you the way you deserve to be treated. We are the only Infiniti Dealership in New England to earn the prestigious Infiniti Award of Excellence and that was no accident. Come by today for a no-commitment test drive and consultation. You’ll be happy you did.Visit our website for our latest inventory: http://www.infinitiofnorwood.com/

CJ Walsh Catering & Party Planning is a company owned and operated by Maureen Walsh. I met with Maureen after her daughter had purchased an Infiniti from our dealership. Her daughter was so pleased with her experience here at the dealership that she called up her mother and asked if they could bring down food for everyone at the dealership on Saturday. We were pleased to have a free lunch, who wouldn’t be? We weren’t necessarily sure of what to expect, but Maureen won us over. She walked in with a smile from ear to ear and said “Hello, are you ready for some chicken fajitas?” Anybody who walks into a room and offers me exceptional chicken fajitas knows the way to my heart! The room was permeating with the savory smell of chicken, peppers, cheese, onions, and specialty seasoning. The catering service does everything on scene accept the preparation of the meats (that is made, and then transported in a heated pot.) The fajita was tightly wrapped and ready for consumption. I indulged in the flavorful experience and was very impressed with such a simple chicken fajita! The peppers provided that extra kick that I very much enjoy.

Along side of the fajitas was a large bowl of fresh house salad and dressings to choose from. Needless to say, I was stuffed on just one generous fajita and a side of salad. Overall, I was skeptical, as many are about a catering service, but CJ Walsh Catering & Party Planning is the real deal. So much so, that we now are employing their services for every Saturday lunch. I owe thanks to George Albrecht Jr. for providing his employees with not only a free lunch on Saturdays, but a quality filling lunch on Saturdays! They came in here purchasing an Infiniti and never expected an account out of the deal, but it just so happens that we also had a love for the product they were selling.I did wait a week to write this review because I was interested to see if this performance could be followed up with another enjoyable experience. The next Saturday the owner Maureen came into the dealership with this week’s lunch menu. On the menu for the day was a variety of wraps. We could conquer our hunger with roast beef wraps, chicken caesar wraps, or turkey wraps. Again, an enormous bowl of salad accompanied the food and two trays of cupcakes. A job well done all around and at this point, I highly recommend CJ Walsh Catering & Party Planning for any business lunch or private function.

With the economy being as unpredictable as ever, there has been a demand in luxury car circles for options that are a tad more economical in nature. Infiniti has answered the call, as the brand-new Infiniti G25 Sedan is slated to hit dealerships for the fall season.

The Infiniti line-up is set to expand this September with the introduction of the G25, a new entry-level sedan packing all the amenities of its bigger brother, but with less power and a budget-minded price tag.

By all outward appearances, the G25 is your standard G sedan with a new badge, but under the hood lies the same 2.5-liter V6 that’s been available in Japan since 2008. For an MSRP of $30,950, the G25 packs 218 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque channeled through a standard seven-speed automatic gearbox and – depending on the trim – can be had in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The standard G25, G25 Journey or G25x (AWD) come equipped with leather and power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, six-speaker audio, 17-inch aluminum wheels, HID Xenon headlamps and the normal array of electronic options. An optional RearView monitor and dual-zone temperature control, along with heated front seats and outside mirrors, are available on the Journey.

The G25 sedan will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5L V6, which is an engine currently used in the JDM Skyline 250GT, instead of the 3.7L V6 that is installed in the current G line. Under the hood of the Skyline, which is Nissan’s G offering in Japan – this engine produces 210 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This is close to what the experts project the G25’s engine to produce. Those numbers put it right in the middle of the lesser powered Lexus IS 250 and the BMW 328i, which has 230 horsepower. The initial plans for the G25 are that it will only be available as a sedan. However, if sales are strong enough the coupe and convertible could also eventually be offered with the 2.5L V6.

Stay tuned, as Infiniti of Norwood – the #1 dealer in Northern New England will keep you updated on the arrival status of the G25, or you can contact us to place your order today! See you soon here on the Automile!

The Infiniti G Line
The Infiniti G Line is on a roll entering the 2011 model year. Following extensive enhancements for 2010, including refined exterior, interior and equipment refinements, sales continue to show strong growth. Through June, G Sedan calendar-year-to-date sales have increased more than 28%, while G Coupe sales are up more than 33% for the same period. Expect the momentum to continue as all three G models — Sedan, Coupe and Convertible — are refined once again for 2011.

2011 Infiniti G Sedan
Enhancements to the popular Infiniti G Sedan for 2011 start with the introduction of new “Limited Edition” and “Sport Appearance” models with special exterior and interior content features. Other 2011 refinements include one new exterior color and standard Scratch Shield Paint on all models.

For 2011, the Infiniti G37 Sedan will again feature a 328-horsepower 3.7-liter “VVEL” V6 and choice of 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions, along with available sport brakes and 18-inch wheels. The G37 Sedan’s advanced engine combines with the second-generation FM (Front Mid-ship) platform — featuring a 4-wheel independent suspension with lightweight aluminum components — to provide responsive acceleration and agile handling. The G37x AWD adds Infiniti’s “intelligent” ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.

All 2011 G models continue to offer a strikingly seductive exterior, defined by its sleek wave form hood, signature G-style taillights and raked A-pillars and athletic stance. Inside, the G Sedan provides a crafted, heritage-inspired interior environment and luxury features such as standard leather-appointed seating and an available audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose.

Advanced technologies include standard Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition and available RearView Monitor; a touch screen Infiniti Navigation System with XM NavTraffic® real-time traffic information and 9.3GB Music Hard Drive (XM® subscription required, sold separately); and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking.

On my anniversary with my girlfriend of three years and now fiancé, I wanted to take her to an authentic Italian restaurant, local to Norwood. So, after numerous inquiries with customers, friends, and of course good old Google reviews played a role in my decision, I made my reservation at Joe and Maria’s. Joe and Maria’s is a small intimate corner spot located oddly enough next to The Chateau (A great family Italian restaurant for the price) and is built into the Hampton Inn located at the base of the hotel. The restaurant seats roughly forty people in the dining area and ten at the bar. We walked in and were seated by none other than one of the owners, Maria. The restaurant was started by husband Joe and wife Maria in 1991. Since the start of the family’s restaurant, they have been serving up quality Italian food. Paul Mancuso, the chef and youngest son of Joe and Maria, has created a menu that will expose your palette to the delicacies of northern and southern Italy.

Once seated, we were introduced to the wine list, as fresh bread and an herb/garlic oil was placed on the table. With an extensive wine list, we were very ecstatic, as wine is a fundamental must, when it comes to enjoying the true Italian experience… While we searched for a wine, we ordered some appetizers. My Fiancé ordered the Mediterranean Steamed Mussels, which was steamed with a white wine, tomato, kalamata, olives, garlic, and a very subtle hint of red pepper. I decided on the Arancini, which from past experiences, if not prepared properly, can be a massive tease. So, needles to say, I took a gamble. Appetizers were delivered and my fried risotto cake stuffed with ground beef, English peas, and buffalo mozzarella, garnished with our classic house marinara, smelled heavenly! I will admit that I was a bit envious of the Mediterranean Steamed Mussels my fiancé had ordered because it looked and smelt absolutely irresistible. Luckily, unlike a first date, we have been together for 3 years, and are engaged, so this leads to rights of sharing! We had ordered our dinner, but given the taste of these appetizers still being fresh on my mind, I did what I typically do, and went on a small tangent.

Dinner was featuring a classic dish for me with the Linguini with Meatballs in a homemade red sauce, and for the lady in my life, the Alla Chicken Parmigiana. As you maybe thinking, they took the safe route, but trust me that is not the case. We just had a need for some classic simple Italian dishes. After consuming our appetizers, we were pretty stuffed with a very satisfied stomach. Dinner arrived and the portions were very generous, as it should be in any respectable Italian restaurant. The first bite into the perfect sized meatball sent my taste buds for a loop! The perfect mixture of seasons, ground beef, and ground sausage, placed into one ball of goodness, left me wanting more! In result, I embarked on a quest to tackle this large plate of linguini and meatballs. Of course, I did not finish, as I am not the champion eater I once was. The same was true for my fiancés dish, very generous portion, delicious home made sauce, perfectly cooked linguini, but the only complaint here was the chicken. We were expecting the chicken to be thicker and home breaded, but it seamed to be alright, just your average chicken. Aside from that minor mishap, service was pretty good (a little slow because it is a family restaurant with 2 servers and one busser,) but that is to be anticipated. Deserts looked great, but we were absolutely stuffed, and still had left over food, to make for a hearty lunch the next day. I will be back and do recommend you try this hidden gem of Norwood.

Infiniti of Norwood Presents X Isles at The QX56 Release

The evening of July 8, 2010 approached and when 6 PM struck the clock, the party officially was underway. When I arrived at the unveiling, I was greeted with a pleasant surprise when the valet attendant had informed me that he would park my vehicle and provide a complimentary car detailing! From that moment the stage and expectations were set. Upon entering the dealership, I was handed a gift bag, which I later found to include an Infiniti pen, keychain, QX56 booklet, a free oil change coupon, and car detail coupon. Too good to be true? They seemed to be buttering us up for a not so impressive 2011 QX56 I thought. But, when the night progressed I was ecstatic that I made time to attend…

The music was splendid, which featured the X Isles, a 2 piece band with vocals, guitar, and steel drums. Despite only 2 members, the band featured the incredible vibe of even some of the best 4 or 5 piece bands. Not over powering, but very full and soothing. My favorite part about writing this blog is including an aspect of life that I am very candid of: Food! Sky catered this event and truly added a 5 star touch with their signature ingredients. They featured crab cakes, quesadillas, scallops and shrimp, jerk chicken embodied by cornbread with a little swirl of BBQ sauce to top it off, cheese and meat platters, bruschetta, tortellini dishes, and more. All of the food was delectable and mouth watering! I was a little weary as to how the catering would go, as we all know catering with hot food is a hit or miss. Sky had 3 chefs in attendance freshly preparing all of the dishes on the dealership floor. The food was a showcase in itsself and truly did Sky’s typical reputation justice!

Now, aside from my rambling. The vehicle was finally unveiled. By 7:00 PM we all were exploring the new QX56. The car is very spacious, which was demonstrated by a family of 7, who had much room once packed in. The vehicle is slightly smaller inside than last years’ model, but has no bearing on still being able to fit your family comfortably. The car is filled with features, such as twin DVD screens on the driver/passenger headrest, luxurious design in the dashboard, steering wheel, lavish compartment space in the front middle center, leather, navigation touch screen, and more. Infiniti equipped this machine with a standard 5.6-liter, V8, 400-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. For a car of its class, the QX56 stands above competition in having impressive fuel ratings. Motor Trend asks, “Is there a better SUV in this category? Perhaps not.” The Infiniti QX56 is all new for 2011, and other fellow reviewers say it’s finally competitive. The changes to the Infiniti QX56 for 2011 start on the outside. I was happy to see that the angular, blingy styling of the old model is gone, while a more subdued look takes its place. Inside, there’s standard seating for seven (though seating for eight is a no-cost option) in a cabin that again I would compare to that of a luxury private jet. Since it’s an Infiniti, the QX56 comes loaded with high-tech standard features, as well as some innovative available safety features, like Intelligent Cruise Control.

The night was a success and Infiniti of Norwood gave their customers another reason of why they won the 2010 Infiniti Award of Excellence. Classy event all around for the top of the line luxury SUV.

That being said, check this car out today and for more details please visit: www.infinitinorwood.com

The redesigned 2011 Infiniti QX has created a lot of buzz here at Infiniti MA of Norwood. We are also happy to hear that it is also getting rave reviews from the community of automotive critics. With a completely revamped body and numerous exciting features, the sky is the limit for this luxurious and artistic piece of machinery. If you haven’t had the chance to see it or take one for a test drive, it is certainly a breathtaking experience. We hope to see all of you here on the automile soon!

Chris Stout – www.manolith.com

I recently had the chance to test drive the 2011 Infiniti QX in Louisville, Kentucky, and oh man, was it a sweet ride. This QX has all the features that you’d expect from a luxury Infiniti SUV (which we’ll get to in a bit), but the first thing that strikes you is the car’s good looks. It’s an attractive ride by any standards. The QX has clean lines, a big-but-not-bulky frame and an executive jet-like interior that makes you want to grab a pipe and a smoking jacket and just lounge inside for a while.

The 2011 Infiniti QX drives as smooth as it looks. Newly designed to reduce noise and vibration, the QX is roomy, comfy and quiet. I was riding with The Bachelor Guy, and he said that the car was like a living room on wheels. This is true. In fact, the ride is so comfortable that it’s easy to take turns a little quicker and speed a bit more. Maybe that’s why The Bachelor Guy and I got pulled over twice. I thought the sharp turn that he made was worse than my 71 MPH on a Kentucky highway, but the state troopers that pulled us over thought otherwise. The Bachelor Guy got off with a warning and I earned myself a “speeding” ticket.

Aside from the exterior looks and interior comforts, the QX has a host of other welcomed features:

Marlon Hanson – The Auto Channel

I’ve always been impressed by interior design, comfort and the level of sophistication of the instrumentation in vehicles. First settling into the QX it was obvious they tailored this new SUV for people exactly like me.

The cockpit was every bit as elaborate as that of our new Cirrus airplane, but much more spacious and, yes, comfortable. Acceleration was just as exhilarating as any take-off. I hit the pedal with gusto as we entered the expressway after leaving our staging point and my passenger said I should have warned him so he could protect his neck from the snap 400 horsepower and 413 lb ft of torque can provide.

Even with such undeniable power gas mileage has been improved over previous models and is respectable in all comparisons with other full-size non-hybrid SUVs (EPA rated at 20 highway and 14 city). Since this vehicle provided literally everything I would be looking for in an SUV my first question was an obvious given the times of uncertain fuel prices and availabilities – would a hybrid be on the immediate horizon.

more..

Erik Johnson – Car and Driver

The outgoing Infiniti QX56 was a vehicle that never made much sense to us. After all, you could get almost all of its equipment—save a few electronic trinkets—on the otherwise identical Nissan Armada, and you’d save thousands in the process. But the QX has been redesigned for 2011, migrating to a platform shared with the Nissan Patrol SUV, a Toyota Land Cruiser competitor in the rest of the world. The result is a machine more perfectly suited to its primary mission: ferrying well-off families to and from the vacation house, mall, and celebrity-chef restaurants that serve microhydrogenated candied aardvark liver.

The architecture remains body-on-frame, but you’d never know it from the smooth ride and refined personality of the new QX. Whereas the old Titan-based QX56 was a truckish brute with yesteryear interior tech and a rough-around-the-edges persona, the 2011 version is bristling with up-to-the-minute electronics and a suave character that matches its sleek new exterior.

The two of us stare up at the newly built restaurant from the parking lot at Jake & Joes in Norwood, located conveniently right off the Auto Mile. I had first saw this new restaurant when I was taking my daily drive to work. Working on the Auto Mile has its perks, car central, plenty of restaurants, and more. The manager of Jake & Joes entered our dealership and handed out invitations that offered a free appetizer, four free entrées, and free drinks. So, needless to say, I couldn’t turn down a free meal! We arrive at Jake & Joes Wednesday night for their grand opening. The parking lot is packed, so we think, first night of an opening usually leads to some chaos in service.

However, immediately when we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm hello and seated. The walk over to our table featured a walk through historical sports moments highlighting the best in Boston sports with Memorabilia from the Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, and the Bruins. To compliment the sports feel they feature 9 TV’s on each side of the bar (1 monster 50 inch TV!) They have plenty of TV’s dispersed throughout the restaurant to ensure you don’t miss a beat in the Boston sports world. With it being a sports bar it surprisingly wasn’t as loud as your typical bar setting, which was a plus for conducting conversation!

Onto the food! My fiancé and I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla to start and for the Main Event we ordered the Chicken Under The Brick (Joe’s Way) and The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. Our waitress Jessica was very responsive, witty, and friendly. She brought over our drinks in a flash and within 10 mins (expected time) we had our Quesadillas arrive. The appearance was mouth watering…

… they were very full, colorful, and waiting for the first bite. Analyzing the Quesadilla we spotted the tender Pulled Chicken, Diced Tomatoes, Fresh Cilantro, Diced Jalapenos, Onions and Monterey Jack Cheese. All of this was bundled into the warm flour tortilla and was served with sides of Sour Cream, Salsa and Guacamole. The first bites quickly lead to the dish being consumed! Very pleased, granted it’s a Quesadilla, but a fine one at that!

After the Appetizer was demolished, our Entrées followed within 5 minutes of consumption. My Chicken was the reason the food had taken awhile (they do mention in the menu that the chicken takes at least 15 minutes to cook,) but when the dish was placed down in front of me, it appeared to be worth the suspense. The dish featured Mashed Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable of The Day (Mixed Vegetables,) and the Chicken (Very generous Portion.) I cut the Chicken and you could tell how delicious, moist, and tender it was going to taste! The potatoes were very filling with the garlic, butter, and pan gravy (a little dry without the gravy.) The Pulled Pork was ok (very basic) and the size of the sandwich was less than impressive, the onion rings were not very good (tasted more like a Chinese Chicken Tender – Very Greasy.) The deserts were good, but nothing over the top spectacular (Not freshly baked treats, which isn’t a total loss because remember it is a sports bar after all.)

Long story short, I will eat at Jake & Joes again and would eat at this sports bar without question over a chain like the 99 Restaurant. Make sure you sign up for the free MVP awards when you go there and you’ll get a point per dollar spent, discounts on food, and $15 free on your birthday!

Infiniti of Norwood is abuzz with the next anticipated arrival – the newly redesigned 2011 QX56. Completely overhauled for 2011, the QX56 gets bolder styling and a more upscale interior. The new incarnation of this luxurious SUV is much more sporty and curvaceous than last year’s model, and is a completely different experience.

The eight-passenger interior is fitted with an abundance of high-quality materials and available high-tech features that include the Around View Monitor system, which makes parking this big beautiful machine a cinch.

The new version of the QX has considerably more power than its predecessor. It features a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower (up from the previous 320) and 413 pound-feet of torque (an improvement of 20), and it is paired with a new seven-speed automatic transmission. Towing capacity checks in at an impressive 8,500 pounds, so there are no worries when it comes to towing your boat for those gorgeous summer weekends!

Fuel economy, which is a perennial hot-topic amongst car experts nowadays, has improved to 14 City/20 Highway. You won’t break the bank at the pump when embarking on those long summer trips in the car, which the QX is perfect for. DVD players have become just about mandatory for any couple with kids as they set off to visit relatives across the country whose names they can’t seem to get quite right, and faces they can’t remember.

Great safety features include the Infiniti Advanced Airbag System (AABS) which inflates the airbags accordingly depending on the severity of the crash, Blind Spot Warning which has also been featured on the 2011 M37 and 56, Lane Departure Warning to help alert the driver when he/she is drifting side to side, as well as, Intelligent Cruise Control to assist in a safe distance between you and the car ahead of you.

An available Hydraulic Body Motion Control System (which includes 22-inch wheels and tires) automatically reduces body lean while cornering, which in turn provides a better ride and more composed handling.

Here at Infiniti of Norwood, we expect to see the new 2011 QX56 to arrive any day now. This large, luxurious SUV is sure to be a hit once it debuts, and we don’t want you to miss out on the excitement! Give us a call to set up a test drive, or to place an order! We look forward to seeing you here on the Automile this summer. Happy driving, and stay safe!
